General

A Learning Management System, LMS for short, is a software application that allows automation, management, and way to capture the learning, or training of students.

An LMS, or learning management system, combines a wide range of features to present a class setting without having the students come into a physical classroom. There are also Learning Content management tools that allow creation of classes, share coursework, enrollment of students, and evaluation of students with quizzes.

Learning Management System (LMS) advantages include the ability to capture compliance training, reduce the amount of time and effort of managing learning, reduce skills gaps with to a better way to distribute and encourage a learning culture, use consistent learning/training methods, and increase visibility to learning effectiveness to optimize programs.

There will be a nominal charge for courses on this site.  These charges will help the Education Committee to create new content and provide further education opportunities.

Fortunately, this site is cross-platform accessible and tablet ready.  Mobile phones may be used although this is probably not desirable for most learning.

Currently no special “plugins” or “addons” are required.  This site is meant to be user friendly and designed for all ages.

We offer email support, which we have found to be the most efficient means for our students, parents and teachers.

By default, all web pages are served using HTTPS.  All personal passwords are encrypted.  When we integrate our e-commerce, it will be PCI compliant, and financial data never even touches our servers.

All access to files, such as images and videos, are via URLs that are individually encrypted for each user to prevent unauthorized sharing of resources. Our database is encrypted at rest.

Our site hosting company, Siteground, has constant security scanning.

Of course your personal PC’s should all have active internet security through use of third-party applications such as Kaspersky, McAfee, Norton, etc.

While possible, this is not desirable as certificates are granted to each student for their work and multiple certificates are not possible for non-registered users.  Each student should have their own registration.

We do make use of cookies to help track progress in courses.  Our site does contain individual requirements for site acceptance of these cookies.

What is GDPR and CCPA?  General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are two data privacy regulations that dictate how companies collect, process, and share private user information. While they serve the same purpose, GDPR and CCPA ensure data privacy differently and require businesses to adapt in different ways.  As stated above, we do NOT sell of give away personal information.  Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
